I did as you described in your message. I forgot to mention in my post above uh8505 the device manager says that the drive is operating correctly. Please tell me the registry fix for the Matshita Cd-Rom Drive.
Monday, June 30, 5: Since then, never worked. I have a Toshiba Satellite A with this very same driver. Now it will not read data dvd or cd’s at all.
I also forgot to mention is it will run the windows 7 install disk from boot.
